 | Situated in the heart of Corsica, the Aiguilles de Bavella are a landmark of the Corsican mountains. The Lariccio pine trees perched on the sloping, granite rock face look like etchings. You slowly descend the high summits through the maquis and finish this superb itinerary on the beaches of the gulf of Valinco. You will come across diverse scenery that has lent Corsica its reputation as 'Kalliste'(the most beautiful). Discover the villages of Alta Rocca, reputed for their olive oil and set in wild country side engulfed in perfumes of the maquis.

Day 1 In the afternoon, transfer by minibus to the Col de Bavella, passing through the villages of the Alta Rocca. The journey takes approximately 2h30. Time to settle into the gite before the evening meal. (Possibility to start the holiday on a Sunday or bank holiday with the first night in Ajaccio, consult us). |
Day 2 We propose many different activities to do in Bavella. A walk that leads along the GR20 and follows the ancient transhumance trail that joins Conca and Bavella, slowly winding down to the charming Paliri refuge. 7km, 5h00, +540m, -540m. A walk to the Trou de la Bombe, a circular opening that pierces the Paliri crest of peaks. A pleasant walk under Larriccio pine trees and superb views over the gulf of Porto Vecchio. 6km, 3h00, +300m, -300m. |
Day 3 Walk in the heart of the 'Aiguilles de Bavella' to the village of Quenza. Discover the hamlet of Prugna and its shepherd's cabins. 18km, 6h00, +680m, -950m. |
Day 4 Today s walk takes you through the picturesque Alta Rocca villages, the aromatic maquis and ancient chestnut trees. De 13 à 16km, 5h30, +700m, -700m. |
Day 5 Alta Rocca is a 'micro-region' reputed for its production of olive oil. It also has many fascinating archeological sites. Night in the fortress village of Sainte Lucie de Tallano, one of the most beautiful on the island. 14km, 5h30, +610m, -1000m. |
Day 6 On the road to Propriano you have the opportunity to visit the St-Jean-Baptiste church, meditate by the grave of Colomba or stop at the Baracci natural spas for a swim, before you head into Propriano. 12km, 6h00, +680m, -940m. |
Day 7 Return to Ajaccio by bus. |

 | Trip Summary | Start Early afternoon at Ajaccio's bus station (located inside the ferry terminal). End Around 11h00 at Ajaccio's bus station (inside the ferry terminal). Number of people From 2 Level of difficulty The walks are on good footpaths and trails, the terrain is varied but often rocky. You need to be used to walking and take regular exercise to enjoy this holiday. Guide Self-guided walking. Carrying You need to carry a small day sack only with a water bottle, camera, picnic and wind jacket. The main luggage will be transported by vehicle between the different accommodations.
