Day 1 Arrive in Ajaccio and check into your hotel. Time to explore the town, the ambience is Mediterranean and vibrant. If you feel like it, there is a cliff walk that leads up behind the town and offers wonderful views of the coastline and the gulf. from 6km to 11km, from 2h00 to 4h00 , from +140m to +340m, from -140m to -340m. |
Day 2 Transfer by bus to Evisa village, the pearl of Corsica. Walk under the shade of Laricio pine trees to the spectacular Aïtone waterfalls, a great swim spot. Then through Evisa chestnut forest where you will find trees that are hundreds of years old. 9km, 4h00, +450m, -450m. |
Day 3 Descent in the Spelunca gorge in the heart of a pink granite massif. You follow the torrent to a Genoise bridge where you start the walk up through the maquis towards the vibrant village of Ota. 13km, 5h00, +130m, -670m. |
Day 4 After a transfer to Col de la Croix a descent to the tiny village of Girolata. The trail winds it's way down to the beach where you can swim in the clear, blue sea. 9km, 4h00, +580, -580. |
Day 5 Departure by boat to Porto marina. After a pic-nic, you take a trail that leads you above a beach to the remarkable calanches de Piana - classsed as a site of world beauty. 5km, 3h30, +360m, -360m. |
Day 6 You can take a morning or afternoon public bus back to Ajaccio. Time to visit the picture postcard village of Piana and maybe walk down to the small cove of Ficaghiola for a swim. The cove of Ficaghjola is a small sandy creek. With its white sand and high mountains it is very picturesque. It is a favourite nightstop for passing sailboats who like to drop anchor. 5km there and 5km back, about 1h30 one way, +450m, -450m. |

 | Trip Summary | Start At your first hotel in Ajaccio. End Friday either at 10am or 3pm, depending on bus'schedules, at Ajaccio ferry terminal. How to get there Ajaccio port or airport. Accommodation First night in a hotel, in double, twin, single or 4 beds rooms, 4 nights in dormitories in gites (communal bathroom). Half board on days 2/3/4/5, Bed and breakfast on the first night. Number of people From 2 Level of difficulty The walks are on good footpaths and trails. For each day the level of walking is flexible. Guide Self-guided walking. Carrying You need to carry a small day sack only with a water bottle, camera, picnic and wind jacket. The village of Girolata (day 4) is only accessible by foot or boat. You won't have access to your main luggage on that day. You will have to carry your sleeping bag for the night as well as a day's worth of personal gear. The main luggage will be transported by vehicle between the different accommodations. Price includes Half board accommodation (no evening meal on day 1), internal transfers, baggage transfers between hotels, the dossier containing your maps, route notes and all necessary details needed for your holiday. Price does not include Unforeseen additional transfers, drinks, picnics, extra activities, holiday insurance and evening meal on the first day.
