Cycling the Luberonfrom 655 €
Provence - Cycling - 7 days  

Luberon is a terrain of sensations. The colours, fragrances and tastes of Provence will attack your senses, you can be sure to see some of natures wonders and sample some exceptionally good food and wine.

This itinerary will lead you through Roussillon and Rustrel where you will find the stunning bright ochre quarries. Perched villages, such as Bonnieux, Lacoste and Ménerbes, some of the most beautiful villages of France.


Program
Day 1
Installation in your hotel in Cavaillon. You may choose to visit the town or discover the nearby villages.
From Cavaillon to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. You will pass by the prestigious Isle-sur-la-Sorgue site also called the Comtadine Venice.
30km, 3h00, +150m, -150m.

Day 2
From Cavaillon to Apt. You pass by Gordes, one of the most beautiful French villages and Bories a cluster of small dry-stone dwellings.
48km, 5h00, +620m, -435m.

Day 3
From Apt to Viens. You will visit in Rustrel the wonderful Provencal Colorado.
27km, 3h15, +612m, -100m.

Day 4
From Viens to Buoux after an incursion in the Haute Provence Alpes, via Céreste, discover fortified villages on your way to Buoux.
39km, 4h00, +180m, -150m.

Day 5
Bonnieux, Lacoste and the North side of the little Luberon. You will see there the very famous Sade castle.
42km, 4h15, +460m, -460m.

Day 6
From Buoux to Cavaillon, along a natural defile created by the river, through rocky outcrops and several beautiful villages, including Lourmarin with its 15th century château en Merindol.
42km, 4h15, +220m, -565m.

Day 7
Your trip comes to an end after breakfast in Cavaillon.
