| Your base for three nights will be the camp spot Vallone, a wonderful mountain river runs alongside the camp with a series of inviting rock pools and sun baked rocks. A real joy for children, who will be able to enjoy the adventure of living outdoors and an easy itinerary of short walks in the massif of the Monte Cinto, a place of natural wild beauty. You will also discover the towns of Ajaccio and Corte, along with the Niolu valley and the village on the lake. |

Day 1 Arrive in Ajaccio and check into your hotel. Time to explore the town, the ambience is Mediterranean and vibrant. If you feel like it, there is a cliff walk that leads up behind the town and offers wonderful views of the coastline and the gulf. from 6km to 11km, from 2h00 to 4h00 , from +140m to +340m, from -140m to -340m. |
Day 2 An early morning transfer from Ajaccio to Corte, either by train or minibus, at our discretion. Drive from Corte to Calacuccia, continue up past the highest village in Corsica, Calasima towards Vallone. The last part of the journey is in 4 wheel drive, then 10mins by foot to arrive at your camp. Your luggage is transported by mule for the final short section through the woods. |
Day 3 Setting out from Vallone you follow the GR20 footpath. The refuge of Tighjettu is situated at 1635m. There are several options from here to choose from. Explore the mountain river with it's enticing rock pools. 4km, 5h00, +790m, -790m. |
Day 4 A walk to the massif of Cinqui Frati. This imposing mountain has 5 small pinnacles and is known as the five brothers. A good loop walk with some great picnic and swim spots. 6km, 4h30, +350m, -350m. |
Day 5 A pleasant down hill walk towards Calasima, the highest village on the island. Continue down to the small villages dotted around the central lake. Check into your accommodation in Calacuccia. 10km, 4h00, -600m. |
Day 6 A transfer in the morning from Calacuccia to Corte, then return to Ajaccio. |

 | Trip Summary | Start At your first hotel in Ajaccio, depending of time of arrival.
End Friday, at the railway station in Ajaccio, depending on train schedules. How to get there Ajaccio port or airport. Accommodation First night in twin, double, single or three beds rooms in a hotel, 3 nights camping, 1 night in a gite. Meals prepared by your hosts. Number of people From 2 Level of difficulty Walks on good footpaths. Guide Self-guided walking. Carrying You need to carry a small day sack only with a water bottle, camera, picnic and wind jacket. The main luggage will be transported by vehicle between the different accommodations.
Price includes Full board accommodation (except day 1 and 5), internal transfers, baggage transfers between hotels, the dossier containing your maps, route notes and all necessary details needed for your holiday. Price does not include Unforeseen additional transfers, drinks, extra activities, holiday insurance, travel, evening meal on day 1 and picnic on day 5.
